Erik Sheppard Proposes to LindZ Reiss

At NYC VO Mixer - With 200+ Witnesses!

It shoulda been a movie ...

THE SCENE: 2nd Annual New York Voiceover Mixer, White Rabbit Lounge, Friday night, Dec. 5, on Manhattan's Lower East Side. More than 200 voice actors hugging hello's, networking, snapping photos. Event organized by Erik Sheppard's Voice Talent Productions with voice actors September Day and LindZ Reiss.

THE SCRIPT: Erik's in the DJ booth, announcing raffle prize winners. LindZ hands prizes to VOs who step from the crowd.

SUDDENLY: Erik goes off-script ...

He dashes from the DJ booth, kneels before the woman he'd met exactly one year ago to the day - at the first New York VO Mixer - and asks: "LindZ, will you marry me?"

Gasps, whoops and hollers follow from the crowd, and the VoiceOverXtra camera captures it all (below).

Yes, we'd known that Erik and LindZ planned to marry. But there'd not been a formal proposal.

"I was shocked!" says LindZ, beaming later with a diamond on her ring finger. And we assume she answered, "Yes!"

The bride-to-be is an accomplished voice actor specializing in character voices.

The groom-to-be is an accomplished voice actor, owner of Voice Talent Productions - a voice-over marketplace - and a witty and lucky guy.
