Talent Or Skill?
Both Need Practice
Duration: 2:20
Some voice actors are more naturally gifted with talent than others. Even so, like everyone else, they need skills to succeed in voice-overs.
Voice talent and coach Julie Williams likens voice-overs to playing the piano. "The less gifted can become quite good with practice," she says.
In this podcast, Williams cites the need for constant practice to develop your skills. And she challenges you to ... well, listen for yourself! (Yes, you do have 10 minutes a day for this.)
Williams is the veteran of 30 years as a voice talent, and her coaching has refined the craft of hundreds of voice actors, through workshops and products. At the web sites below, you can sign up for her free V-ZINE - a monthly voice-over magazine you'll receive via PDF - and join Voice-Overs.com forums.
